How We Treat Each Other Here

Davar Communities — Community Guidelines · Last updated: June 2026

These guidelines cover behavior, not belief. If you're a member of any community on Davar Communities, you agree to these. They're short on purpose.

We're not here to referee theology. Christians disagree about plenty — baptism, the gifts, end times, church governance — and those conversations belong inside your community, led by the person who leads it.

So this isn't a list of opinions you're allowed to hold. It's a short list of ways of treating people, and a few kinds of content that don't belong on the platform regardless of who posts them.

What's expected of you

  • Treat people with respect. Other members, and the leader of your community. Disagree all you want — disagree hard, even — but the person on the other side of the screen is a person.
  • Stay on topic. Post content that belongs in the community's declared subject area. Every community has its own focus; honor the one you joined.
  • Keep it clean and lawful. Some categories of business and content simply aren't allowed on Davar — and as a Christian platform, most are things you'd never want here anyway. The full, authoritative list is on our Restricted Categories page.

What's not allowed

These apply to everyone, in every community, no exceptions:

  • Harassment. Targeting, bullying, threatening, or hounding a person. Sustained hostility dressed up as "just being honest" still counts.
  • Spam. Unsolicited promotion, repetitive posting, scams, or dumping links that have nothing to do with the community.
  • Pornography and sexual content. Davar Communities is not a place for explicit material.
  • Hate speech. Content that attacks or dehumanizes people on the basis of who they are.
  • Violence. Threats, incitement, or glorification of violence against anyone.
  • Doxxing. Publishing someone's private information without their consent.
  • Impersonation. Pretending to be someone you're not — another member, a leader, Davar Communities staff, or a public figure.
  • Illegal content, including anything our Restricted Categories page prohibits.
  • Anything that endangers children. This one carries the heaviest consequences we have. See our Child Safety Policy for the specifics — it's zero-tolerance.

If you're not sure whether something crosses a line, the safest move is to ask the leader of your community first.

How flagging works

Anyone can flag content, anywhere on the platform — a post, a comment, a reply. When you flag something, you'll pick a reason: harassment, spam, off-topic, inappropriate, or a legal concern.

  • Every flag gets reviewed. We aim to get to them within a couple of business days — we're a small team and read carefully rather than fast.

When you submit a flag, you won't get a "thanks for reporting!" popup — but it went through, and it'll be looked at.

What happens after a flag

Most flags resolve quietly. A leader reviews the content, makes a call, and either restores it or removes it.

Davar Communities reserves the right to remove content, suspend accounts, and — in serious cases — close down communities that violate these guidelines or our Terms & Conditions. For most issues there's a path: a warning, a chance to fix it, a conversation. For the severe ones — anything that endangers a child, for instance — there's no warning and no waiting period. It's immediate.

We'd rather almost never have to use any of this.

A note on who belongs here

Be clear-eyed about what's prohibited; be generous about who participates. Different beliefs within the Christian tradition are welcome at the table. New people, quiet people, people who are still figuring out what they think — welcome. The conduct rules above exist to protect that table, not to shrink it.

Harassment, spam, and prohibited content are not welcome. People are.
