Restricted Business Categories
Davar Communities — Restricted Business Categories · Last updated: June 2026
Some kinds of business and content don't belong on Davar — and as a Christian platform, most are things you'd never bring here in the first place. This page lays out where that line sits, plainly and completely.
Rather than author and maintain our own version, we adopt an established, authoritative standard in full: Stripe's Restricted Businesses list. It's comprehensive, it stays current, and it leaves no gray area. If it's restricted there, it's restricted on Davar.
The canonical list
The complete, current, authoritative list lives here, maintained by Stripe:
→ stripe.com/restricted-businesses
That link is the source of truth. Stripe updates it from time to time, and when they do, the updated list applies to Davar Communities automatically. If you're ever unsure whether what you do fits, read Stripe's list. If it's restricted there, it's restricted here.
What this means for leaders
If you run a community on Davar Communities, you're agreeing not to operate in any category on Stripe's Restricted Businesses list. Davar Communities may suspend or terminate any community found to be operating in a restricted category.
This is folded into the Terms & Conditions you agree to when you join — there's no separate checkbox for it. The relevant Terms language reads:
Leaders may not operate in any category on Stripe's Restricted Businesses list: stripe.com/restricted-businesses. Davar Communities may suspend or terminate any community in a restricted category.
Operating in a restricted category is grounds for termination under the Leader Agreement. It is treated as a serious breach and is not subject to a cure period.
For context — what's on the list
Representative categories include:
- Adult content and services
- Firearms and certain weapons
- Gambling
- Unlicensed or unapproved pharmaceuticals and supplements
- Multi-level marketing
- CBD and related products
This is not the list — it's a handful of examples to give you the shape of it. The real, complete, binding list is always stripe.com/restricted-businesses.
Anything about theology — what Davar Communities believes, what teaching belongs here — lives in the Statement of Faith and the Community Guidelines, not on this page. This page is strictly about the commercial categories allowed on Davar.
