What your leader sees about you
Davar was built for people who shepherd others. The dashboard your leader looks at is the kind of thing a shepherd would notice walking through the room on a Sunday morning — who’s here, who hasn’t been by in a while, who said something that landed. Nothing fancy. Nothing creepy. We’d rather you know exactly what shows up on their screen than wonder.
Here’s the full list. If anything here makes you uncomfortable, the bottom of this page tells you how to turn off activity tracking for that community.
What your leader can see
Your profile
- The name you used when you signed up.
- Your profile photo, if you uploaded one.
- The bio you wrote, if you wrote one.
What you post
- Every post and comment you write inside their community. (If you’ve posted in another Davar community, that’s private — this leader doesn’t see it.)
- The reactions you give (Amen, prayer hands, and the like).
- Thank-yous you’ve sent on posts in their community.
Courses
- Which lessons you’ve marked complete.
- Roughly when you last opened a course.
Events
- The events you said yes to.
- Whether you were marked present, if attendance was taken.
Direct messages with the leader
- That you’ve exchanged direct messages with this leader. The content of those messages is visible only to the two of you.
- Read receipts on your messages, if you have read receipts turned on in your profile settings.
How active you’ve been
- Roughly when you last opened the community. The dashboard rounds this to “today,” “this week,” “a while ago” — not the minute.
Your membership
- The day you joined.
- For paid communities: whether your subscription is active, in a trial, paused, or behind on payment. The leader does not see your card details — Stripe handles that side.
What your leader does NOT see
- Anything you post in other Davar communities. Each community is its own room. A leader sees what happens in theirs, and only theirs.
- Your direct messages with other members or with leaders of other communities. Those stay between you and the people in the conversation.
- Your payment-card number. The IP address you signed in from. (Davar collects some of that for security, but it never reaches the leader’s dashboard.)
Want to keep your activity private?
You can turn off activity tracking from your community settings. When tracking is off, your leader will only see your name, your profile, that you’re a member, and that you’ve turned tracking off — not when you last opened the community, not your post-by-post activity, not your course progress. Anything you post is still visible inside the community itself (because it’s a public conversation in there); the dashboard just won’t aggregate your activity into per-member signals.
It’s a per-community choice. Turning it off in one community doesn’t change anything in another.
